LA VAL
La Val, situated 1350 metres above sea level, is one of the smallest villages of Alta Badia and therefore promises a very relaxing and quiet time. In this remote location you will be able to escape the hustle and bustle, but you can still connect very quickly with most of the surrounding villages. La Val is surrounded by the breath-taking natural landscape of th Dolomites which you can enjoy for a hike. In winter you will be close to many different connections to the most wunderful ski runs of South Tyrol and in the evenings you can return to the snow-covered village La Val.
WINTER
From La Val by car or by the free autobus you can reach very quickly some of the most beautiful ski areas of theSouth Tyrol. The resort of Alta Badia comprises 500 km of ski runs with connections, it is part of the Dolomiti Superski area. The Kronplatz ski area via Piccolein is a village 6 km from La Val. Further ski tours like the very famous Sella Ronda will be an unforgettable all-day experience. Cross country skiing fans will enjoy themselves as well on the well prepared tracks of San Cassiano or Corvara.
Alternatively you might like to spend a day hiking around the snow-covered landscape or stop off at one of the pleasantly warm huts. Those who intend to spend the holidays with the whole family could go sledging ond the numerous natural sledging routes.
SUMMER
In summer Alta Badia offers a great number of walks, hikes and climbs to every degree of difficulty. The whole family can enjoy a walk with local flavour or take a lovely picnic with you. The experienced mountain climber has a choice of a large number of via ferrata climbs. Furthermore you will have the opportunity to go cycling, mountain biking, golfing or horseback riding and all right in front of he breath-taking scenery, that is he Dolomites.
